 The Grenada Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred at a local department store in which $30,000 worth of merchandise was taken.
 The incident happened around 2 a.m. Thursday in Walmart’s electronic section. 
 According to the police department’s incident report, the first responding officer spoke with an employee of the store about the theft.
