To say the 2014-15 Kirk Academy softball team is young may be the understatement of the century.
Taking a look down the roster, there are just two seniors and no juniors. There are just two sophomores. That leaves 11 players that are in grades 6-9.
“No question, we will be extremely young,” Coach Jeremy Grantham said. “We have very few girls with any high school experience. It will be learning as we move along in the season. Our goal is to get better day-to-day.”
Kirk gets its first chance Saturday taking part in the Winona Christian School Invitational. The Raiderettes take on the host Lady Stars at 8 a.m.
