Grenada singers and musicians are planning to pay tribute to those who bridged the color gap through their commitment to education.
The latest in the series of unity concerts will take place Feb. 3, at 3 p.m. at Greater Powell Chapel Church.
The concert will honor Henri Marie Brown and Willie T. Allen, both of whom taught school before and after racial integration.
“I wanted to bring together musicians and singers from different churches and different walks of life to pay tribute these great figures in Grenada’s history,” said concert organizer Moe Hubbard.
Some of the churches represent in the choir will include Burning Bush, Lakewood United Methodist, Pine Hill Missionary Baptist,  Emmanuel Baptist,  All Saints’ Episcopal and Grenada First Presbyterian.
