Fans of Grenada High School will get a chance to look at some new opponents than in year’s past. The only problem is that the majority of the games will be on the road.
Football Coach Ashley Kuhn has announced the 2013 schedule. The Chargers will have games against new opponents Greenwood and Greenville. Grenada also has a first-ever contest with Ridgeland scheduled.
Inside Region 1-6A, the lone new opponent will be Hernando. They replace Columbus, who moves to Region 1. Grenada and Hernando used to play years ago in the old Chickasaw Conference days. The Tigers are coached by veteran Anthony Jenkins.
“The biggest drawback concerning the schedule is the fact that we have seven road games,” Head Coach Ashley Kuhn said. “That’s the best that we could work out at this time. We lost two big non-district games with Winona and Charleston.”
